The Elymais Kingdom was a state located in what is now southwestern Iran, which existed from the 2nd century BC to the 3rd century AD. The kingdom was known for its production of bronze coins, which featured the bust of the ruling king on one side and various symbols and inscriptions on the other. One of the most notable kings of the Elymais was Phraates, who ruled during the 2nd century AD. The Elymais Kingdom was eventually absorbed into the larger Sassanid Empire in the 3rd century AD.
